Privacy Policy
Effective October 27, 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Intentrun Technologies Limited ("Intentrun," "we," "us," or "our") provides the Intentrun website, business platform, and related services. Our address is 28 Joseph Avenue, Lagos, Nigeria. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, contact us, request information or onboarding, use a demonstration, or use Intentrun services.
This policy should be read with any service agreement or data-processing terms that apply to your organization. If we process information on behalf of a business customer, the customer's privacy notice may also apply to its employees, contractors, customers, and other individuals whose information it enters into the service.
2. Our role in handling information
We act as a data controller when we decide why and how to process information for our own purposes, such as responding to a contact request, managing our business relationship, protecting our website, or complying with law.
When a business customer uses Intentrun to store or manage information about its employees, customers, suppliers, or other people, that customer generally decides why the information is used and what is entered into the service. In those situations, the customer is generally the controller and Intentrun processes information on the customer's documented instructions to provide the service. The customer is responsible for providing individuals with appropriate notices and establishing a lawful basis for its use. A separate data-processing agreement may provide additional details and obligations.
3. Personal information we may process
The information depends on how you interact with us and may include:
- Contact and business details: name, work email address, phone number, company, job title, team size, and your selected service or requested capacity.
- Messages and correspondence: information you include in a contact form, support request, demonstration or onboarding inquiry, and communications with our team.
- Account and access details: account identifiers, organization details, user roles, and authentication information needed to manage access, where these features are enabled for your service.
- Customer business records: data a customer or its users choose to enter or connect to Intentrun, which may include accounting, ledger, inventory, transaction, reporting, supplier, or customer records.
- Payroll and workforce details: where payroll or related features are used, employee identifiers and contact details, job information, compensation, attendance or leave, deductions, tax-related details, and payment instructions supplied by the customer.
- Technical and usage information: information that may be included in requests to our website or service infrastructure, such as IP address, browser or device characteristics, access times, pages or features requested, and diagnostic or security events. The exact information depends on the hosting and service configuration.
- Preferences: your cookie and similar-technology choices, stored in your browser when you make a choice.
Please do not send us sensitive personal information through a general contact form unless we have specifically asked for it and explained how it will be handled.
4. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you when you complete a form, communicate with us, or use the service. Business customers and their administrators may also provide information about their personnel and business contacts when configuring or using Intentrun. We may receive information from service providers that support the operation of our website and services, or from third-party systems that a customer chooses to connect.
When you submit the contact form, the details you provide—including your name, business contact information, company, job title, selected service and volume, and message—are sent to our service infrastructure so we can respond to your request. Please avoid including passwords, payment-card details, or unnecessary personal information in the message.
5. Why we use information
We may use personal information to:
- respond to inquiries, provide demonstrations, and discuss service options;
- create, configure, support, and administer customer accounts and requested services;
- process customer instructions and provide platform, accounting, reporting, data analysis, or payroll-related functions included in an applicable agreement;
- communicate about service changes, security matters, support, and customer relationships;
- operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and protect our website, systems, and services;
- detect, investigate, and help prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of agreements;
- meet legal, regulatory, accounting, and record-keeping obligations and establish or defend legal claims; and
- understand and improve our services using information in a way permitted by applicable law.
We do not sell personal information. We do not currently load analytics or advertising trackers on this public website preview.
6. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following, depending on the purpose and context:
- Contract or steps requested before a contract: to respond to a service inquiry, prepare onboarding, or provide services requested by you or your organization.
- Legitimate interests: to operate and secure our business and services, respond to business communications, improve reliability, and protect against misuse, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations: to comply with laws, lawful requests, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Consent: where required, including for optional cookies or similar technologies if they are introduced. You can withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Where we process information for a customer, the customer is responsible for identifying and documenting the legal basis for its processing; we act according to the customer's instructions and applicable data-processing terms.
7. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies
This website uses browser storage to remember your cookie preferences and support site or demonstration functions. The cookie-preference record stays in the browser where it was saved and records the categories selected; it is not, by itself, an analytics or advertising tracker. You can reopen the preferences panel using "Manage cookies" in the website footer.
The current public preview does not load optional analytics or advertising trackers. The preferences panel lets you record whether those categories may be used if relevant technologies are introduced. A stored choice does not mean such a technology is currently active. If we add optional technologies, we will update this policy and request or respect choices as required by applicable law.
Some demonstration features may store demo settings or records in local browser storage so they remain available in that browser. Demo data is not a substitute for a production customer environment. Do not enter real employee, customer, financial, payroll, or other sensitive information into a public demo unless specifically authorized and provided with appropriate instructions.
8. When we share information
We may disclose personal information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to:
- Service providers: providers supporting hosting, databases, communications, support, security, and maintenance, acting under appropriate contractual restrictions.
- Customer-authorized integrations: third-party systems a customer chooses to connect or asks us to use, subject to the customer's instructions and the third party's own terms.
- Professional advisers: legal, accounting, audit, or other advisers who are subject to confidentiality duties.
- Authorities and other parties: where required by law, valid legal process, or necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent fraud and serious misuse.
- Business transfers: in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
We do not authorize service providers to use customer personal information for their own unrelated purposes.
9. International transfers
Our company is based in Nigeria. Depending on the services selected and where our infrastructure or service providers operate, information may be processed or accessed in Nigeria or another country. Where a transfer is subject to applicable data-protection law, we will use a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards required by that law. You may contact us for further information about relevant safeguards, subject to security and confidentiality restrictions.
10. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the requested service, managing a business relationship, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal or accounting obligations. The applicable period depends on the type of information, the reason it was collected, our relationship with you, and legal requirements.
When a customer's service ends, customer data is handled under the applicable service agreement and data-processing terms. Contact requests may be kept long enough to respond and maintain appropriate business records. When information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, unless we must retain it by law or for a legitimate legal purpose. Browser-stored preferences and demo records can generally be removed by clearing the relevant browser storage.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your credentials, devices, and access to your organization's account.
If you believe information submitted to us or an account has been compromised, contact us promptly through our contact page.
12. Your privacy rights and choices
Subject to applicable law and any lawful exceptions, you may have the right to request access to personal information about you, correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing, or a copy of information in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent; withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
If your information is held in Intentrun on behalf of your employer or another organization, please direct your request to that organization first. We will support the customer in responding as required by our agreement and applicable law. We may need to verify your identity and clarify the request before acting. Some information may need to be retained or may be exempt from a request under law.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or another competent supervisory authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to address your concern.
13. Children
Intentrun is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek to collect children's personal information through the public website. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authorization, please contact us so we can review the matter.
14. Third-party websites and services
Our website or services may link to third-party websites or connect with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this policy. We encourage you to review those notices before providing information or enabling an integration.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our services, processing practices, or legal requirements. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle information, we will provide any additional notice required by law.
16. Contact and privacy requests
Intentrun is responsible for the personal information it processes as a controller. For questions, privacy requests, or concerns, contact us through our contact page or write to Intentrun Technologies Limited, 28 Joseph Avenue, Lagos, Nigeria. Please state that your message concerns privacy and identify the request you wish to make. Do not include passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
